This tool uses volume-based calculation to determine the number of bricks required for a wall. All linear measurements are first converted to millimeters for consistency, and all area measurements to square millimeters. The calculation follows this exact structure:

Formula:

Brick Volume (no mortar) = Brick Length × Brick Width × Brick Height
Brick Volume (with mortar) = (Brick Length + Mortar Thickness) × (Brick Height + Mortar Thickness) × Brick Width
Wall Volume = Wall Length × Wall Height × Wall Thickness
Openings Volume = Openings Area × Wall Thickness
Net Wall Volume = Wall Volume − Openings Volume

Number of Bricks = ⌈Net Wall Volume ÷ Brick Volume (with mortar)⌉
Bricks with Waste = ⌈Number of Bricks × (1 + Waste Percentage ÷ 100)⌉

Validation logic: If the net wall volume or brick volume with mortar is zero or negative (for example, when openings exceed the wall dimensions), the calculator does not display a result. All input fields accept only positive numeric values.
